There is no need to know my name, my age, or where I come from, but today, I write to you with an open heart to share a part of my life. I am an engineer; my mission is to find solutions, solve problems, and make life easier for others. But first, I must start by making my own life easier. That’s why I came up with the idea of drinking my coffee through a straw. It may seem odd, but it is a perfect solution that has allowed me to enjoy my coffee peacefully for years. With this trick, I can control the amount of liquid I drink with each sip and enjoy every morning even more than before. I am happy to share this discovery with my friends and family and to savor each sip of my precious black coffee with serenity.
I suffer from ataxia. For those who don’t know, it’s a condition that affects coordination and balance. It has certainly made my life more complicated, but it has always inspired me to overcome all obstacles and limits. Since birth, I have never been able to write with a pen due to my loss of precision and stability. It has changed the way I move and perform the simplest tasks: walking, picking up an object, or even drinking coffee.
I believe in fate, but I firmly believe in the ability to shape one’s own destiny. Despite these difficulties, I was determined to live, not just survive, and to achieve my dream of becoming a computer engineer. Due to the challenges I face every day, I also chose to focus on this field, specifically on web application development. I studied mathematics and programming, familiarizing myself with various coding languages and development frameworks.
But ataxia has also taught me resilience and strength. I have learned to adapt to new situations and find ways to face the obstacles that arise. I have also developed a deeper faith and understanding of myself and others who struggle with similar conditions. With God's help and the love and support of my parents, I have been able to overcome these challenges and continue moving forward. Ataxia has also reminded me of the importance of community and support. I have been fortunate to work with doctors and therapists who have helped me manage my condition and find ways to live comfortably and productively. I have also been able to connect with others with ataxia and share our experiences and strategies for coping with the condition.
In the end, ataxia has been a significant milestone in my life, presenting challenges but also teaching me strength, resilience, and the importance of community and support.
